A DESTINATION WEDDING TO AMALFI
Most of my life was built on encounters I have made and places I have been. And this wedding on the Amalfi coast was exactly that..
I met the bride, Lydia, back in 2020 in Abisko, Sweden. We were both digital nomads there during Covid times, and swapped personal stories, and a string of Covid too
They are beyond perfect it’s actually hard to soak in.
Fast forward some months later, she is back in the UK, waiting for the pandemic to go when she meets Joe. Now imagine two people who live life to the fullest, always in a good mood, empathetic, with a thirst for travel: it was bound to be love at first sight. And soon enough they started living again in different places, like the Maldives, and one day, at the top a very wet mountain in Patagonia, Joe proposed.
The wedding took place over a couple of days between Amalfi and Positano, in a villa overlooking the beautiful Amalfi Coast. The coast is actually a place where they might be moving some day so there was a story there, not just a trend.
The legal wedding took place in Amalfi town, in the ancient shipyard of the town which officials use to celebrate weddings. A challenge light-wise but a lovely – and original- setting nevertheless.
After the short ceremony we went for a walk around town to take some pictures and enjoy quality time with the parents (and the locals who are always so friendly especially with newlyweds!).

We then moved onto the outdoor ceremony with all the guests. A lovely view over the Amalfi Coast, a real pizza oven, pasta cacio e pepe straight out of the parmesan wheel, and a beautiful mini road trip around Furore bridge for some nice couple shots.
ITALIAN CLASS
Simple light fabrics, some perfectly imperfect hair and a sunflower bouquet to add some colour to the hues of greens and blues of the coast. Amalfi style!

A pretty romantic setting, and the clouds on the day added a touch of drama to the already beautiful scenery.
